EasyPark expands with new office in Melbourne – one of the world’s smartest cities
Melbourne, Australia, was recently ranked one of the smartest cities in the world. As one of the leading mobile parking apps, EasyPark today announces the opening of a new office in the city, which will be the home of the company’s Australian and New Zealand operations. This is the next step in EasyPark’s increasing geographic footprint since entering the Australian market in 2012.
The global tech company EasyPark has during the last years expanded worldwide. The award-winning app is today available in 27 countries, after acquiring PARK NOW Group in July including the brands PARK NOW, ParkMobile and RingGo, and after launching in Portugal in September. EasyPark entered Australia in 2012, and today the company opens a new office in the central business district in Melbourne. The office will occupy a bigger workspace, which will play an important role for the company’s ambition to deliver innovative parking services across the Australian and New Zealand markets.
– We are very happy to be opening a new, bigger office in Australia. We are increasing our geographic footprint and expanding our service offering, following a period of rapid growth on the Australian market. I feel confident that EasyPark will continue to have a significant impact in making Australia’s and New Zealand’s cities even more liveable, says Johan Birgersson, CEO at EasyPark Group.
Melbourne was recently announced one of the world’s 50 most intelligent and future-proof cities, according to the Cities of the Future Index*. The index study which cities are best adopting new technological solutions to improve its sustainability and liveability. Now Easypark will be the latest global business to invest in the city’s central business district.
– We are committed to supporting the economic and social revitalisation of the central business district through creation of valuable, skilled jobs and partnership with the City of Melbourne. The Melbourne office will set the scene as we recruit new local talent to build a high-performance team and elevate our offering, says Eli Grossinger Binshtok, CEO at EasyPark ANZ.
